About Sam Schlauch

As a multi-generational Montanan, I am dedicated to helping you establish your roots and connecting you into the amazing network of resources I have made over my lifetime here. I can not think of anything more exciting than sharing this place with you. Most of my childhood memories took place in Montana. There are too many Northern Montana lake memories to recount, too many small Montana drive thru’s to name. And to me, there is nothing more nostalgic than driving alongside the trains and Montana railroads. My family did a lot of this driving back and forth after we moved to California and Utah through grade school and middle school. Living in locations such as Park City, Utah expanded my love for mountain living. This town, similar to Big Sky and Bozeman, helped me gain insight into how rapidly these unique, desirable towns can develop and change.

These connections continued to take root in Bozeman upon moving back to Montana in 1997. Over the next couple decades my family became intertwined in the local community. My father began a high-end custom homebuilding business that organically rolled into an expansive real estate career. And my mother created an interior design department for a local, prominent architectural firm. House talk became the background noise of the rest of my childhood and continued into adulthood. I never realized how well that would serve me until now. 

I began my own family in 2006 with the birth of my eldest daughter, Schyler. Shortly after her sister, Essa was born. And in 2014 I embarked on my biggest adventure to date, the international adoption of my son, Liam. During this time I stayed very busy, creating a kids cooking class business that I had the pleasure of teaching around the valley for years. After that, I took a big leap and developed a local restaurant concept in downtown Bozeman. This furthered my desire to be immersed in this amazing community. This venture was followed by 5 years at The Yellowstone Club. At this one-of-a-kind, private, luxury residential resort, I managed, grew, and developed the private in-home purchasing department. I established many relationships with local businesses and purveyors, introducing members to the most high-end household items the valley has to offer. With my diverse background in business development, hospitality, and knowledge of high-end homes, I bring a savvy, yet grounded and authentic, approach to your home buying experience.
