One of my dearest friends, and surrogate daughter, is a delightful woman named Lindsey. Many of you may know her, as she lived in Bozeman up until a few years ago, before she, husband Chris and toddler Elizabeth, moved to Denver.
Right around Thanksgiving this past year, Lindsey was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 36. She underwent a double mastectomy in November and will have reconstructive surgery at some point.
This weekend, Lindsey is in Florida, and has competed in a half marathon! What an amazing feat for anyone, but even more so given that 3 months ago she was undergoing major surgery and worried about her future. Now, she is living, loving, and being one of the most amazing women I know. Lindsey epitomizes the reality that life begins with attitude.
